CLASS 2
So this class was cool as well... we looked through some of the assignments from the week before and did an in class assignment to script the picture movie. Another walk in the park for me because any good producer knows that before executing the production of any feature, it must be scripted.

Formulating Stories
ReplyDeleteIn Today's class I got the opportunity to understand the linear nature of formulating a story. In order for the message to be convened clearly a story must have a beginning a middle and a an end. Class was quite interesting today everyone got an opportunity to express themselves in writing.
On the 13/09/2010 Our Video production class entailed the art of story telling, which basically has a start, a middle and a finish. I learned that a story takes the reader on a journey.
ReplyDeleteA story is comprised of an exposition which Within the context of fiction, exposition is the fiction-writing mode for conveying information. Exposition can be one of the most effective ways of creating and increasing the drama in your story.
The story plot starts at status Quo it builds up a conflict it climaxes at the middle the conflict is resolved and returns to status Quo or Normal. I also learned that in the Newspaper industry HEADLINING usually starts with a climax, and is done to grab the readers attention.
So this is the third class and currently we are devolving short stories and storyboards. It will be interesting when animatics are applied to our storyboard especially using sound effects to set the mood and expectation of our viewers. Assignment #3 promotes the use of condoms through the means of a storyboard.Myself and Sherrol decided to develop a story of two teenagers in love. The girl is being pressured by her boyfriend who is very eager to have sex,the girl hesitates a bit but finally gives in requesting that a condom be used. My idea when creating this short story is that young people will want to have sex but when they do they should use precautionary methods.
