Terms used in Video Production

Animatics: is an series of still images and audio used to present a movie, tv commercial so that persons can visualize what the finish product will look like.

Storyboarding: is the process of creating sketches and series of illustrations to outline the changes in scenes and progression of a movie to be filmed.

Shotlist: is when a sequence of frame that is being done with a video camera: from the start to the finish the video camera is not turned off.

Script: is a written document that shows the progression of a film or television work.

Screenplay: My understanding of the screenplay is the same as a script but for the screen play it actually shows you editing and revisions through the process and screen plays are mostly video for major films. I found a link for the screenplay for Tropic Thunder. It’s great.
